»Better Ears« is an educational Music Theory and Ear Training app designed to develop musical skills and enhance auditory abilities. It offers a variety of 13 exercises ranging from interval recognition to chord progressions, catering to novices and seasoned musicians alike.

Users have the freedom to tailor their training routine with »Better Ears«, allowing for personalized practice sessions without strict rules or schedules.

The app covers a wide range of exercises, including interval, scale, and chord recognition, as well as pitch identification, melodic dictation, tempo recognition, and more. The custom editor for Chords, Scales, and Chord Progressions gives users the flexibility to add their own musical elements.

»Better Ears« comes equipped with six different instrument sound options such as Acoustic Grand piano, Bright Acoustic Piano, Electric Grand Piano, Drawbar Organ, Nylon Acoustic Guitar, and Steel Acoustic Guitar.

Users can further enhance their experience through SoundFonts (.sf2) to incorporate custom sounds. The app also features virtual keyboard and guitar fretboard functionalities for note input.

Integrated pitch detection enables users to respond vocally or via a real instrument like piano or guitar. The app includes preset levels like Beginner, Easy, Normal, and Professional, alongside the option to create unlimited custom levels that suit individual needs.

Syncing capabilities across Mac and iOS devices allow users to align levels, statistics, and settings for seamless usage. MIDI support enables sound routing through external MIDI devices for enhanced control.

»Better Ears« tracks user statistics for every exercise session and provides Wikipedia integration to access relevant articles during practice. The app ensures a comprehensive approach to music theory and ear training in a user-friendly format.
